Hi! My name is Lady Audrey Rose! But everyone just calls me Audrey. I am an American Cocker Spaniel, what they call Parti-Color. I had my pet, Jami, scan some pictures of me so you can see how adorable I am. I apologize if the pictures are too dark or too light. My pet's scanner isn't all that great and neither is her skill with it. Still, she tried her best!
I want to tell you something that happened on the morning of February 26, 2002. I was getting ready to leave for work in a half hour. Bored, I went to watch the last half hour of The 700 Club with my mom. Audrey was on my lap. Now Audrey has this bad habbit of licking on her privates. This makes her red, raw, and chapped. We've tried every store and home remedy with no results except to find that Audrey LIKED the bitter sprays and the like! Today she was worse then ever. Not only was she red and raw, but she was bleeding. Well, the time for their prayers for healing had come up and I felt compelled to pray with them today - something I hadn't done before. Well, I held her and put my hands on that redness and bleeding and then closed my eyes and prayed with all my heart to have God heal my little girl. Low and behold when I removed my hand where she had been bleeding she now had completely scabbed over and right before mine and mom's eyes the redness - which had been cherry tomato red a second ago - faded to her normal color! Before our very eyes God had healed Audrey!
Now you might make excuses but that same afternoon I was at the gym. Now I'm very overweight. 270 pounds. I'm trying to lose weight but it's hard. The worse part about being fat is I've got stretch marks - not just in the usual places but also under my arms. Those ones and the ones on my stomach are the most embarassing to me. Especially since they're bright purple. Well, as I stood in the shower I prayed like I had prayed that same morning. When I removed my hands the stretch marks had faded in color to normal flesh tones. More then that - they're still normal flesh tones. I know if I keep working at losing weight and keep praying the stretch marks will soon vanish.
You might ask why God would care about a dog or stretch marks when there's so many bad things in this world. Well, there's a reason they say "God helps those that help themselves." I've already exhausted every resource to help Audrey. I'm trying to help myself lose weight via diet and excersize. I trully believe because I came to Him of my own free will, because I had already tried to help the situation, God decided to answer my prayers in the way I asked. I'm not the world's best Christian. I forget to witness to people. I sin in many ways. I don't go to church. I sometimes even question the Bible - only in the fact that man has a bad habbit of messing with God's word for his own ends. After all, if the KKK can twist verses around to support their stupidity then who knows what else can be done to the Bible? But I know God exists and that He loves me. And God loves you too. He's just waiting for you to come to Him of your own free will.
