Vintage Racing

This picture was sent in by the Behrens family. Pictured is "Grandpa Behrens" on an oiled "flat track" at ACE in 1974.  He is taking the win on a 175 Penton in this picture.  Got to love that Chevy van.

Can you believe that there once was an "ACE" Motorcycle?

Engine: in-line 4 cylinder

Vintage Pictures sent in by the Hussey family Art's brother (Bill Hussey) looking sharp on an MX250 Yamaha.
Art Hussey (Huss Daddy!) in 1972 on his Honda minibike.  I love the bike's number (sick tea too!).
Vintage Pictures sent in by the Behrens family "Grandpa Behrens" in 1974 on a 175 Penton at Claverack  And what's that he is riding in 2001?
Black and white picture that Rocky Cassone (#87 +40 expert) found in his archives. In this picture (from the summer of 1976) we have Rocky Cassone himself (#586) on the inside of John Barton (#144).  Both these riders are still active today and MORE as Rocky sponsors Terry Finkle through JJ Cassone Bakers and John Barton is the current president of ACE motocross. GREAT PICTURE.
  • Every District 34 ACE Race Day features a Vintage Class

  • Saturday, May 24, 2003 the ACE track will be managed by the ACRMX Club ("click"). Tons of vintage classes.  Bring your modern bike to race too (classes for everything).  ACRMX runs its own layout and even "hand grooms" the track just before practice starts.
