Q: Hello, Gheorghe! Tell us what happened lately?
A: Hello, everybody! Well, the latest news concerning my skating is that I have changed coach.
This has happened after a long period of talks and some kind of negociations
with my federation, which didn't agree so far with the ideea of not training
with the national teams coach, Marius Negrea, with whom I was not in good relations
lately. So, I will practise from now on with Sylvia Holtes from Holland. Another
reason why I decided to go to Holland and practice there, were also the
bad conditions I had in Romania. The conditions in Holland are much more superior
to those in Romania.
Q: What did you do so far in this season and what are your plans for the next period?
A: As you know I had to withdraw from the competition in Oberstdorf because of an injury.
Then I was supposed to go to Wien, but the federation decided, with one
week before the competition, that nobody from Romania will go there. I'm going to Zagreb.
Q: I heard that your programs for this season are good. What can you tell us?
A: As I expected and as I told you in the last interview the choreography this year is much better than last years. Even if I couldn't do them both in competition I felt quite good on the short in Oberstdorf, and in practices the free is going well also. Peoples reaction when they see the programs even if only in practices is very positive, and all this thanks to Sandra Schar who came with the ideea of these programs.
Q: Thank you, Gheorghe!
A: Thank you, too. And see you soon!

Q: How did you have the idea of creating your own home page?
A: While surfing on the net, and watching a couple of sites, I thought it would be a good ideea, so people who are interested in skating can find out more things about me. Of course, because I didn't have enough knowledge about creating sites I asked Balint Miklos to help me with that.
Q: So back to the skating. What are you doing right now?
A: Well, right now I'm in short holiday, but I'm very busy with the school.
Q: What did you do after the competitional season ended?
A: I've been working on my new programs. I started the practices in Switzerland (Neuchatel), in the beginning of April, then I went to Belgium, Holland and France. I've been working toghether with Sandra Schär, and I think it was a good idea. I like very much my new programs, first of all because they are completely different than what I had the years before, and I think they fit to my style of skating. Sandra Schar is doing also a very good job, and even if some parts are very difficult I think the programs will be good.
Q: What are your plans for the upcoming season?
A: I will start skating in the end of June, in France, and then I'll go to Flims, in Switzerland for a few weeks camp. My first competition will be in Oberstdorf, Germany in the beginning of September. After that there is nothing sure. Of course, in December will be the nationals, and I hope to qualify for Europeans and Worlds.
Q: What jumps do you plan to do in the programs next season?
A: It's very difficult to answer that question, because I didn't work so much on the jumps lately, I was trying to improve my artistical part. Because the level of the skaters is getting higher, I'll have to do also some difficult jumps, to be able to get some better results. I've already started to work on quad jumps, last year I landed a couple of times quad toe, and in the end of the season I've been working on the quad salchow. They are getting better, and I hope next season I'll be able to land them in competitions.
Q: Thank you for answering to our questions!
A: I thank you also, and I will be ready to answer your question anytime! If anybody has anything to ask, email to my webmaster or to me.
