I have spent several days lecturing at the World Environmental Conference on "Aspartame marketed as 'Nutrasweet', Equal' and 'Spoonful'". In the keynote address by the EPA, they announced that there was an epidemic of multiple sclerosis (MS) and systemic lupus, and did not understand what toxin was causing this to be rampant in the United States. I explained I was there to lecture on exactly that subject.

When the temperature of Aspartame exceeds 86°F (34°C) the wood alcohol in Aspartame converts to formaldehyde and then formic acid, which inturn causes metabolic acidosis. (Formic acid is the poison found in the sting of fire ants.)

The methanol toxicity mimics MS; thus people were being diagnosed with MS in error. Lupus has become almost as rampant as MS, especially amongst Diet Coke & Diet Pepsi drinkers, who may drink more than three 12 oz (375 ml) cans per day.

There has been Congressional Hearings to no avail. The drug & chemical lobbies have very deep pockets - and now there are 5000 products containing Aspartame. At the time of the first hearing, people were going blind! The methanol in the Aspartame converts to formaldehyde in the retina of the eye. Formaldehyde is grouped with cyanide and arsenic as a deadly poison. Unfortunately, it just takes longer to kill.

Aspartame changes the brain's chemistry and is the reason for seizures. It changes the dopamine level in the brain and also causes birth defects, including mental retardation, if consumed at the time of conception. When brain tumours are removed from patients, they contain high levels of Aspartame in them. It is not a weight-reduction diet product as the formaldehyde is stored in the fat cells, particularly in the hips and thighs. Aspartame is especially deadly for diabetics.

Memory loss is due to the fact that aspartic acid and phenylalanine are neurotoxic without the other amino acids found in protein. Thus it goes past the blood-brain barrier and deteriorates the neurons of the brain.

This poison is now available in 90 plus countries worldwide.

Monsanto, the creator of aspartame, knows how deadly it is. They fund the American Diabetes Association, the American Dietetic Association, Congress, and the Conference of the American College of Physicians.

We told a mother who had a child on NutraSweet, and suffering grand mal seizures every day, to get off the product. The mother called her physician, who called the ADA, who told the doctor not to take the child off NutraSweet. Every time we get someone off aspartame, the seizures stop.

There are 92 documented symptoms of aspartame from coma to death, with the majority all neurological, because the poison destroys the nervous system.

Aspartame Disease is partially the cause to what is behind some of the mystery symptoms in the Desert Storm health problems. Several thousand pallets of diet drinks were shipped to the Desert Storm troops. Deit drinks sat in the 120°F (49°C) Arabian sun for weeks and the service men & women drank them all day long. All of their symptons are identical to aspartame poisoning.

Stevia, a sweet food, not an additive, which helps in the metabolism of sugar and which would be ideal for diabetics, has now been approved as a dietary supplement by the FDA. For years, the FDA has outlawed this sweet food because of their loyalty to Monsanto.
