These two characters are not for D&D/AD&D.

Jami was made for Vampire: The Masquerade.

Lethe was made for Classic (NOT Saga) Marvel Super Heros.

Admitingly Lethe's a bit like me too, physically, but that's mainly because I am so sick and tired of physically perfect women as super heros.

History: Jami was born to do one thing - sing. She has a full, rich, beautiful voice that has such a range that she cannot fit into just one category. Instead they call her a contralto/mezzo soprano, she can sing the lower range of an alto and the higher range of a soprano easily. People have at times been so intimidated by her talent that they've done everything they could do to destroy her self esteem. And they've succeeded. Jami soon turned to food to comfort her, thinking it was her only friend, and of course she gained weight. That only held her back more and made her more depressed, which made her self esteem lower, so she ate even more. It became a vicious cycle.

Things changed a little bit when Jami entered college. Suddenly, people recognized her talent and though she was still held back by her weight for the most part, people still encouraged her. Acting teachers pushed her harder then the other students. Singing teachers made her sing in front of the students more. Even the makeup/props teacher pushed her to audition for things more and encouraged her where all others put her down.

Then one night she had her big break. A varity show where everyone got to do something. No matter how "stupid" it seemed. Many students took the opportunity to do short, but pretentious pieces that were suppose to mean so much yet seemed to be nothing but poorly-written put downs to everyone in the entire world. Thankfully, Jami was there to relieve everyone from the boredom. She sang a piece from her favorite opera - Faust. The audience didn't even move the entire time. Then the auditorium broke out into applause and Jami had to do four more songs right on the spot. To show she had some varity, she also did Stormy Weather, Neil Diamond's The Story Of My Life, and finally her favorite songs, Music Of The Night from Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's version of Phantom Of The Opera and the first half of Home (as the rest of the song was a duet, but the first half could be done as a solo) from the Maury Yeston version of Phantom. Even as she left the stage people cried for more, but unfortunately they had to go back to suffering thru snotty crap.

There was one person in the audience that night. One very - special person. A vampire. The moment Jami had opened her mouth he had fallen in love with her. Yet, afraid she would be frightened by his "monestrous nature," he decided to love her only from afar. Yet he can't stay away. He makes sure her career is on the right track and no harm comes to her. At night when he's fed - he sticks to evil people now, mostly pedophiles, rapists, drug dealers, and other such monsters - he watches her. Follows her when she goes out at night. It tortures him to be so near her and yet so far away. Yet his love is such that he would never dream of harming her. Though sometimes, after making sure his thirst is fully in check, he finds a way into her room, thankfully her dog, Audrey Rose, actually likes him and never makes a noise, and takes a small sip of her blood. Leaving her with fevered dreams of a mysterious lover. Someday he might reveal himself to her. But for now he keeps his distance and waits. Filled with hope and longing.... Not knowing she unknowingly longs for him.

TALENTS: Performer (singing, acting),

Limitations: Psychological: Extreme Fear of Heights, weight problem (obesity), complete Amnesia

History: Michelle was born in a tiny apartment in LA to her unmarried parents. Both were actors and very much in love, but just never got around to marriage. When Michelle was 8 her parents got desperate and began to sell drugs for the money. When they got robbed one day Michelle was kidnaped and was hung upside down above a paint mixing vat. From this comes her terrible fear of heights. Michelle was rescued by a mysterious mutant. After this her parents were given jobs by a mysterious benefactor and life went on the upswing.

Then Michelle began to develop her powers. While her parents really didn't care, her grandparents did. They began to call her horrible names. Belittling her until her self esteem was almost nill. Michelle began to eat - the more she ate the fatter she got, the fatter she got the more her self esteem plummeted. It was a vicious cycle.

One day Michelle saw a mutant child in trouble. Remembering how she was rescued, Michelle ran into the fray. Not knowing she was going up against her one match. Juggernaut. The magic-powered villain hit her hard upside the head, causing her to suffer severe trauma. While she was able to help the child escape, she paid a dear price for it. All her memories, all of them - gone. Michelle would've died that day if not for the help of a human doctor. Still, Michelle remembered nothing. Not even her name. Only the basics like how to read remained. Amongst the doctor's shelves she found a book of Greek myths and read about the river Lethe that caused anyone who drank it's waters to lose their memories. Seeing how she couldn't remember squat, Michelle adopted the name as her own. (Besides, she really didn't want to be called Styx.) She rediscovered her powers, but also realized the first time she flew that she had an irrational fear of heights, though she didn't know why.

Not wanting to mooch off the good doctor, Lethe left him and now remains in hiding. Hoping to someday remember her past. At the very least, her name.

Brrr - she's as cold as ice.

Appearance: 5' 2", shoulder-length strawberry-blond hair, fog grey eyes, 135 pounds. Pearl could be stunningly beautiful. Even with her 10 extra pounds, which gives her more of a sense of ripeness about her then one of being fat. However she never wears make up. Her clothing is always a size or two too big for her and very "boxy." There's no shape to her clothing. Her beautiful hair is always pulled back into a severe bun. She looks and acts cold.

Limitations/Special Considerations - Pearl MUST consume at least the amount of caffeine in your average candy bar per day or she will eventually slip into a coma and die. Because of her need for caffeine, however, Pearl does not require any sleep what so ever.

Talents: Business/Finance, High Society, Singing

Contacts: None

History: Pearl was born and raised in sunny Costa Mesa, CA. . She was born with strange powers. In fact before her birth Mrs. Banks had to take up living in a room that had NO metal or eletrical stuff in it during her last 2 months of pregnancy.

Pearl wasn't the first mutant in her family. In New Orleans nearly 100 years before Pearl was even born her cousin Edwin Banks was born to his prositute mother. Edwin had extremely strong precognitive powers and with them became one of the richest men in the world. Like Pearl his body craved a certain chemical. For Pearl she needs caffine or she'd die. For Edwin it was a chemical found in the drug abstinith.

When Pearl was 8 she heard screams coming from the rest of the house. It seemed that the psychopath Sabertooth had came upon her family home in the middle of the night. He was injured. The Banks didn't know who he was, just that he was a mutant in need. They let him in the house - and he showed his gratitude by killing them all, including her brother, Andrew. She hit Sabertooth with every bit of her power. Fighting him off. Especially when he told her that someone had paid him a lot of money to kidnap her and kill her family. Pearl escaped, just barely. Flying on a holographic carpet to the Costa Mesa Police Department. They were shocked when the blood covered child flew in, screamed about her family being dead, and then guzzled coffee like there was no tomorrow.

Cousin Edwin allowed Pearl to live with him, he died a short time after her 18th birthday, leaving her a list of business dealings that would prove very successful for her. She annoys everyone in New Orleans because she never comes to any parties. Pearl owns homes all over the world and though she visits them often, she's never seen leaving them. She lives the life of a hermit except for the servants who clean the houses once a week.

Pearls talent is as follows - by controlling electrical and magnetic pulses in the air around her, she can form "holograms" that can be solid or not as she chooses. They can be as large or as small as she wants and can do anything except have a smell. She can also create a magnet field. When upset or sick the magnetic field that's constantly around her has been known to mess up machines, erase floppies, etc. However her power can be charged up by caffeine.

For every 1 espresso or 20 oz (one bottle) of Jolt Cola her power can increase a half a rank. However, if she has more caffeine then in 5 bottles of Jolt her power goes haywire and will not work properly. Anyone around her will get shocks and machines will go bonkers, etc. She also gets a little weird when she has so much caffeine in her system. But who doesn't? Pearl doesn't go out because she's afraid of loving anyone else. She's already lost her parents, her brother, and her cousin.

Someday, she'd like to meet Sabertooth and ask him why he killed her family and who he was working for....
